Rob Nadolny

Born and raised in the Chicago area, Rob started his architectural career working for a downtown firm designing high-end single-family homes for north shore clients. Wanting more diverse experience he later took a job working for a larger firm in Chicago working on mid-rise multi-family projects including converting old factory buildings into high end loft apartments.

After a few years the mountains started calling. In 2001 Rob and his wife moved to Steamboat Springs. Since then, he has enjoyed being involved in the innovative and constantly evolving movement in mountain architecture.

Since 2001 Rob and has built two homes for himself along with being involved with the design and construction of several high-end custom homes for satisfied clients throughout the Yampa Valley. Rob has also been the Architect of Record for some prominent commercial projects in the valley including The Deer Park Road Corporation building and the The Olympian.

Travis and Rob have worked together off and on since 2003 in Steamboat Springs. They both helped start another local architectural firm in 2004 with great success. Their decades of experience in the Yampa Valley and complementary talents came together naturally to partner in 2112 Architecture.

His educational background includes a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design degrees from Ball State University.

Travis Mathey

Born and raised in Colorado, Travis started his architectural career working for firms in Fort Collins and then moved to Steamboat Springs in 2003. During his career, he has enjoyed being involved in a wide variety of projects including large-scale commercial developments, modest remodels, and large custom homes. Each experience has led him to focus his talents and interests on mountain residential architecture. In 2013 Travis collaborated with local construction company Soda Mountain Construction and created Soda Mountain Construction + Design.

During this 10-year period Travis was responsible for all architectural design work as well as integration with the construction process at SMCD.

While living in Steamboat Springs he met his wife and together they raised their two children in the Yampa Valley. Travis and Rob have worked together off and on since 2003 in Steamboat Springs. They both helped start another local architectural firm in 2004 with great success. Their decades of experience in the Yampa Valley and complementary talents came together naturally to partner in 2112 Architecture. His educational background includes a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design degrees from Montana State University.
